What's in a Frame? A Comparative Content Analysis of American, British, French, and Russian News Articles

This study compares how newspapers in four countries covered the Syrian war before and after the 2013 chemical weapons attack. Using quantitative content analysis, the article shows that nationalization, responsibility, and conflict frames dominated coverage, while newspapers provided remarkably little contextual information.
